Amazing Week!

Not quite sure how to start this post! I have so much to say but not quite sure how to say it. Without a doubt this has been one of the most amazing weeks of my life. We were able to witness what started as a vision in our heart come to fruition in our city. It was in August of 2010 that God birthed an idea of putting together an event that would Unite the church of Jesus, to ignite a passion for Jesus so that we would then impact our city and beyond through Jesus. And toward that end, we began to invite some of the greatest speakers on the planet representing the diversity in the body of Christ. In addition, we invited Hillsong UNITED, Dominic Balli, and the Rebel Band. And the result was the ONE Conference held in Miami. We saw 6000 people lowering walls and lifting up the NAME of Jesus in an event called the ONE Conference. In John 17 Jesus prayed that His disciples, His church would be ONE, just as He and the Father are one, so that the world may believe that the Father sent Him. Well this weekend, that prayer was answered. We saw over 200 churches represented at the Bank United Center coming together to exalt the NAME of Christ. The reports of lives that were impacted have not stopped coming in. The messages by Francis Chan, Christine Caine, James MacDoanld, Franklin Graham, Brian Houston, Greg Laurie, Scott Harrison, Miles Mcpherson, Britt Merrick, Rich Wilkerson JR, Frank Harrison, and Bob Coy were spot on. It was amazing to see how all the messages tied so beautifully together highlighting the reality that we are ONE church, with ONE purpose, with ONE cause to bring Glory to God and in the process be used by God to change the world for God. And though the conference came and went, the impact is going to be felt as the church goes forth carrying the NAME of Jesus to a world that is in desperate need of Him.
